A HubSpot Alternative for B2B Fintech Sales Teams

Say your payments company is closing a mid-sized distributor. Their finance controller asks about settlement times on WhatsApp. Their CFO emails redlines on your pricing sheet. Their operations lead asks integration questions in a shared Slack channel. On last week's discovery call, the CFO said the board signs off at month-end.
In this example, the deal stage in your CRM still says Proposal sent. The WhatsApp chat, the email thread, the Slack messages and the call note sit in four different places.
If you sell to businesses and are weighing a HubSpot alternative for fintech sales, this is the gap to look at first. Buyers in B2B finance use several channels and several people per account. Camrio puts those channels in one inbox and keeps each account's summary, concerns and next step current from what the buyer said.
What HubSpot is built for in financial services
HubSpot's CRM for finance page pitches pipeline management, deal forecasting, email marketing, quotes and invoicing, with AI prospecting and data agents. It also says the CRM keeps "organized, auditable records of client communications", and points firms with stricter rules to Enterprise for more controls.
Fintechs do run on it. HubSpot's Caxton Payments case study describes a payments company using Marketing Hub, Sales Hub and HubSpot's CMS. If your growth depends on inbound marketing, content and one shared database, HubSpot covers that well. Its Sales Hub pricing guide lists forecasting, up to 100 custom reports and 3,000 calling minutes a month on Professional, which suits a team that reports pipeline to a board.
Where HubSpot gets heavy for a B2B fintech sales team
1. WhatsApp needs a second Professional hub
HubSpot connects WhatsApp to its inbox, including coexistence with the WhatsApp Business app. Its knowledge base says this needs Marketing Hub or Service Hub at Professional or Enterprise. Sales Hub on its own does not include it.
2. Messages log to a contact, not to the deal's story
The same article says a WhatsApp conversation is logged on a contact's timeline when the sender's number matches a contact. If it does not match, the message shows as an unknown visitor and someone links it by hand. That matters whenever a buyer messages from a number your CRM does not have yet.
It also lists a shared limit of 1,000 template messages a month across connected WhatsApp accounts. Teams that run onboarding or renewal reminders on templates should check that number against their volume.
3. Each Professional hub adds an onboarding fee
HubSpot's Sales Hub pricing guide lists a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee for Professional. Its Service Hub pricing guide lists another $1,500 for Service Hub Professional. Its Marketing Hub pricing guide lists $3,000 for Marketing Hub Professional.
4. AI agents bill per task
HubSpot's credits page lists 100 credits per lead for the prospecting agent and 10 credits per response for the data agent. Extra credits cost $0.01 each, and unused credits expire at the end of each month.
What it costs a 10-person sales team
Sequences, lead scoring and forecasting start at Sales Hub Professional, which HubSpot's Sales Hub pricing guide lists at $90 per seat per month billed annually. For WhatsApp, the Service Hub pricing guide lists Service Hub Professional at $90 per seat. For 10 people that is $900 a month, less than Marketing Hub Professional, which the Marketing Hub pricing guide lists at $800 for three seats plus $45 for each extra seat, or $1,115.
Add both hubs for 10 people and HubSpot comes to $1,800 a month, or $21,600 a year, plus $3,000 in onboarding, before any AI credits.
Camrio's pricing page lists the Pro plan at $2,102 a year billed annually, about $175 a month, for 10 team members. That includes 10 WhatsApp numbers and 10 connected Gmail accounts, with no second product needed for WhatsApp.
WhatsApp messages cost money on either tool. Meta's pricing page says charges apply per delivered template message, and replies inside the 24-hour service window are free. Camrio's pricing page says it passes Meta's API charges through at 0% markup.
Why B2B fintech teams pick Camrio
1. Every channel on the account, in one place
WhatsApp, email, Slack, website chat, and call and meeting notes sit in one conversation per customer. Sales and support read the same history, so the CFO's redlines and the controller's settlement question appear together. Our guide to keeping every customer interaction in one place covers the setup.
2. An owner and a summary from the first message
Each new conversation gets an owner by round robin, and the admin sees who owns what. The AI summary records where the deal stands and the next step. Intent and concerns come from the buyer's own words. In the example above, the call note's board sign-off at month-end becomes the deal's deadline.
3. A morning list ranked by what buyers said
Inbox Intelligence gives every lead a purchase score from 0 to 100 based on the conversation. Your morning list shows who is waiting on you and what to do next. Our post on ranking which lead to chase next explains the score.
4. A person approves every message
The AI assistant drafts follow-ups, and a person reviews each one before it is sent. Workflows create follow-up tasks with an owner and a due date. If HubSpot stays your system for pipeline and reporting, Camrio can work alongside it, as we described in switching from HubSpot or Salesforce.
The same distributor deal, with Camrio
Back to the example. The controller's WhatsApp, the CFO's email, the operations lead's Slack thread and the call note all land on one account. The account owner opens it on Monday and reads: pricing redlines received, settlement-time question open, integration questions waiting in Slack, board sign-off at month-end.
The summary suggests revised pricing, a settlement-time note and a reply to the Slack questions before the board meeting. The account owner edits the AI's draft email, approves it, sends it to the CFO, and answers the operations lead in Slack the same morning.
