LeadSquared Runs the Funnel. Who Remembers the Renewal?

Your insurance agents aren't losing renewals because they're careless. They're losing them because the client's messages are spread across WhatsApp, email, calls and Slack, and the CRM only knows what someone remembered to type in.

A client asks on WhatsApp why the renewal quote went up. A family wants a health plan brochure. A business owner says, "My CA will check the documents and revert next week." None of it is in the CRM until an agent logs it.

If your agency runs on LeadSquared and you're looking for a LeadSquared alternative for insurance agents, this is usually why.

At Camrio, we hear versions of this every week. Teams rarely switch because the software is weak. They switch because the conversations live in one place, the CRM lives in another, and the agent is the bridge.

It's not an agent problem

No agent can hold this many conversations in their head. Renewals, quotes, documents and claims questions all arrive on different channels, at different times, from the same customer.

The missed renewal is a process problem, not a people problem. When the record depends on someone typing it up at the end of a long day, it's always one busy day behind.

What LeadSquared does well

To be fair, LeadSquared knows insurance. Its insurance page talks about helping insurers grow "policy sales and renewals from bancassurance, agencies and other channels", and it lists a sales CRM, a mobile app for field teams, performance management and customer portals. It publishes insurance case studies, including one on improving a renewal ratio.

It has also leaned into AI. The homepage calls it an "AI CRM" and lists voice AI, call sentiment insights, conversational AI and lead scoring and routing. For a large insurer running a structured funnel with an ops team behind it, that's a serious platform.

Why insurance agents look for a LeadSquared alternative

Insurance agents don't sell in a funnel. They sell on WhatsApp, on calls and over long email threads with a client's accountant.

  1. WhatsApp is a connector you set up. LeadSquared's help docs say you first get an approved WhatsApp Business number from a solution provider, then install the connector from its Apps Marketplace, map settings, and submit message templates, which can take 24 to 48 hours to approve. Set-up fees and per-message costs vary by country.
  2. Chats land as activity rows. Each WhatsApp message is logged as a "WhatsApp Message" activity on the lead, with statuses like sent, delivered and read. Useful for audit, but it's still a list of events. Someone has to read it and work out where the renewal stands.
  3. Chat and AI are metered by plan. On the Sales CRM pricing page, Converse and Chatbot sessions are capped per plan, and the AI-powered email parser is an add-on on the top plan only.
  4. It takes time to get going. In Capterra reviews, users mention a learning curve, and one wrote that "the start up period took 3 months."

What it costs a growing team

LeadSquared's Sales CRM pricing page lists Sales Pro at $60 per user per month and Sales Super at $100, both billed annually, with a "Let's Talk" button instead of a checkout. For ten agents, that's about $7,200 a year on Pro and $12,000 on Super, before WhatsApp provider fees and onboarding.

The bigger cost is the one nobody invoices. Every agent spends the end of the day turning chats and calls into activities. When that hour gets skipped, the renewal reminder that should have gone out on Friday never does. The client doesn't complain. They just renew with whoever called them first.

What if the sorting was already done for you?

Camrio starts from the conversation, not the form. Every chat with a client, on WhatsApp, email, Slack, website chat and other inboxes, plus the notes your team leaves after calls and meetings, lands in one shared inbox. Camrio then updates the client's profile on its own. Nobody logs anything.

Here's what that looks like for an insurance team:

  • Ownership from the first message. A new lead gets an owner the moment it arrives, through round-robin assignment, so the Slack forward never falls between two agents.
  • AI summary on every client. Policy type, renewal date mentioned, what worried them about the premium and the next step, in a couple of lines.
  • Customer intent and concerns. "Why did my premium go up?" and "my CA will check" are pulled out as concerns and timelines, linked to the messages they came from.
  • Inbox Intelligence. Each lead gets a purchase score from 0 to 100 based on what they said, so the client asking which documents to send ranks above one who only asked for a brochure. Here's how your inbox can tell you which lead to chase next.
  • Workflows. Route new leads, alert the team and create a follow-up task with an owner and a due date. See how Camrio Workflows work.

And the AI never sends anything on its own. It drafts the follow-up; your agent reads it and decides.

The same renewal, with Camrio

Go back to the client asking why the premium went up. In Camrio, that conversation already has an owner, the concern is flagged, and a draft reply explaining the change is waiting for the agent to review. The family's brochure follow-up is a task due Tuesday. The business owner is flagged because the CA promised to revert next week.

Your agent approves two replies and moves on. Nothing had to be typed in.

LeadSquared runs the funnel. Camrio remembers the renewal.

FAQ

Is Camrio a LeadSquared alternative for insurance agents?

Yes, for teams whose clients talk to them on WhatsApp, calls, email and team chat at once. Camrio brings every conversation into one inbox, gives it an owner and keeps each client's profile up to date without manual logging.

How much does LeadSquared cost?

LeadSquared's Sales CRM pricing page lists Sales Pro at $60 and Sales Super at $100 per user per month, billed annually. WhatsApp provider fees and some add-ons are priced separately.

Does LeadSquared have a WhatsApp integration?

Yes. Its help docs describe a WhatsApp Business connector that needs an approved number from a solution provider, an install from the Apps Marketplace and approved message templates.

Do I have to replace my CRM to use Camrio?

No. Many teams keep their CRM for pipeline and reporting and add Camrio as the conversation layer underneath. You don't have to rip anything out. More on what teams switching from HubSpot or Salesforce are actually missing.
